Service Description

Mandala is a Sanskrit word that translates to mean circle, essence, or completion. In a visual form, Mandalas are often seen as geometric circles that can act as aids to help focus during meditation. In this workshop we will explore different types of Mandalas and what they symbolize. We will learn about intention setting and how Mandalas can help expand on the benefits of meditation~ helping with concentration and focus, and bringing peace, tranquility, and balance to our lives. We will practice a short beginners flow that incorporates aspects of Mandala Vinyasa followed by a meditation. We will then join Katherine Tolve of The Art Room, where she will guide us in painting our own Mandala river rock. The art and practice of creating the mandala is a form of meditation in itself, a soothing ritual that allows the painter to express their creativity and find a sense of calmness. Please bring a smooth, dry rock!
