Service Description

Relax, release, and restore during this workshop. Restorative yoga is a practice that helps to release tension in the mind and body. The students will be guided into poses that are held for longer periods of time and are fully supported by blankets, bolsters, and blocks. This creates comfort and ease allowing the body to facilitate the relaxation response. The healing modalities of Reiki and Massage will be offered during the practice. Reiki is a healing technique where the practitioner uses their hands to deliver healing energy to promote relaxation. Massage therapy is the manipulation of soft tissues to reduce stress/anxiety and pain, calm the nervous system, and create a sense of wellbeing. The massage therapist will use gentle touch using their fingers, hands, and/or forearms during the workshop. This experience will provide each of the 6 participants with Reiki and massage in every restorative pose offered. Reiki and Massage offered for 55 minutes. The workshop will conclude with the practice of Yoga Nidra during savasana. Yoga Nidra or yogic sleep (sleep with trace awareness) is a guided progressive relaxation that targets the subconscious mind where our deepest tensions are held. The practice helps to release emotional, physical and mental stress. Yoga Nidra will be provided for 15 minutes.

Cancellation Policy

Clients with a membership who cancel less than 12 hours before the start of class will be charged a $5 fee. Clients with a membership who have booked a space and do not show up to class without prior cancellation will be charged a $10 administrative fee per class. Spaces are precious, so is the teacher's time. For cancellations less than 12 hours before class please contact Julie or Amy (860) 752-4645. A $5 fee will apply to cancellations in this time frame and will be charged to your card on file.
