Welcome to The Hive Women’s Empowerment Center

The following tips and policies are here to help you feel comfortable in the space and to ensure a supportive experience for everyone. We can’t wait for you to join us!

Registration & Arrival

  • Please pre-register/sign up for classes. We are not prepared to accept walk-ins at this time.

  • Please arrive no more than 10 minutes prior to the start of class. With multiple classes and therapy sessions happening, this helps transitions flow smoothly.

  • When you arrive, please enter through “The Hive” entrance. “The Nest” entrance is for therapy clients only. Please be mindful that therapy sessions may be in progress and we want to provide a distraction-free environment.

Accommodations & Accessibility

  • Let us know if you require any accommodations or have mobility limitations. Our classes are open to all levels, and instructors offer general modifications.

  • If you need specific modifications, please chat with the instructor before or after class.

Waivers & Shoes

  • If you have not filled out a waiver online, please complete a paper waiver prior to your first class. Waivers are located on the table in front of the yoga room (only needs to be done once).

  • Please place your shoes in the cubby benches across from the waiver table or by the yoga prop cabinet. There are also coat hooks available. Shoes may be worn for fitness classes.

Personal Belongings

  • We recommend leaving purses and valuables in your car. The main door remains open during classes.

  • Small cubbies are available inside the yoga room for your keys, wallet, and phone.

Mats, Props & Water

  • Everything you need for class is provided (mats, blocks, etc.), but you are welcome to bring your own.

  • You may use any props from the prop cabinet to make your class more comfortable.

  • Water is welcome in the yoga room. Please no food in the yoga room.

Respecting the Space

  • Please set your phone to silent.

  • Respect the privacy of others: no video or selfies during class. If you need to take a call, please step outside the room.

  • We are a trauma-informed space. You are welcome to pause or leave class at any time without judgment.

Class Length & Exiting Early

  • Classes generally run 45–60 minutes, though they may go a few minutes over or under.

  • If you need to leave promptly, please let the instructor know before class and sit near the door so you may exit quietly.

Cleaning & Care

  • After class, please use the sanitizing wipes provided to clean any mats or props you used. Wipe stations are in the corners of the room.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

  • Events (workshops, sound baths, special sessions, intensives): Cancellations must be made at least 72 hours in advance by email to request a refund. Cancellations made less than 12 hours before an event are nonrefundable.

  • Regularly Scheduled Classes (our ongoing weekly schedule such as yoga, barre, Pilates): Cancellations made less than 12 hours before class are nonrefundable. Unlimited members who cancel within 12 hours or no-show will be charged a $5 late cancellation/no-show fee.

  • If you are sick or have an emergency, please let us know as soon as possible so we can make adjustments.

Confidentiality & Boundaries

  • Out of respect for our therapy clients, therapy rooms and upstairs offices are strictly off limits to members.
